Corporate governance at AWD

For many years, the AWD Group has been pursuing cross-company corporate governance developments and has been supporting initiatives for better and quicker assessment of German companies in the international competition for capital. As early as the initial public offering, AWD had already started creating its own corporate governance structure with what a clear understanding of transparency and integrated standards was brought into the company through the Corporate Governance Director.

On the basis of legal provision and an understanding of modern corporate governance, standards are being development for the management work and being implemented in a way that enhances value. Through the corporate governance function, an integrated concept is being followed in the effective management (board of directors) and governance (supervisory board) of the company. Corporate governance is anchored in 4 core processes in the AWD Group and is therefore effective on a permanent basis.

University of Hamburg determines the best-led companies
AWD Holding AG received the "Euro Corporate Governance Quality Award 2005" in conjunction with a survey by the University of Hamburg in November 2005. The Euro Finanzen financial publication praised the "outstanding quality of corporate governance" at AWD Holding AG "as the best company in the MDAX" and highlighted AWD's "particularly transparent company management". For the AWD Group, this award serves as additional motivation to guarantee a high standard of corporate governance in the future as well and to develop the corresponding practices even further.
